Coaching is the process of moving you from point A to point B - from your present situation to your goals.
Like a therapist, a life coach is someone who can support you identify strengths and weaknesses and overcome difficulties holding you back.
I’m doing this by asking powerful questions and using various techniques such as:
Positive Psychology
Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP)
Psychodynamics (unconscious motivations)
It may also involve sharing my wisdom, understanding and knowledge of human behaviour where applicable.
I would like to emphasize that not all coaching is on the subject of external action and it can be about the makeover of perspectives and beliefs for individual transformation and development.
The background of Life Coaching goes back to Nazareth, Aristotle times. “Life Coaching” is an old profession and has been around for centuries. In fact, individuals performing “Life Coaching” were never called "life coaches" but instead they were named academics, philosophers, teachers.
Life coaching focuses on what's happening presently, what a person wants next, and how that gap can be linked.
